چکیده
This study investigated the monitoring of six heavy metals (Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, and Zn) in pond water, sludge, cultivated water chestnut (Trapa natans L.) crops Saharanpur district Uttar Pradesh, India. For this purpose, samples T. plant (nut, shoot, root) were collected November 2021 2022 from three zones (Zone 1: agricultural area irrigated with borewell Zone 2: urban municipal wastewater, 3: rural mixed type wastewater) subsequently analyzed for metal concentration using atomic absorption spectroscopy. The results showed that physicochemical characteristics sludge significantly (p < 0.05) higher 2 3 than to those 1. root was comparatively high followed by shoot nut parts. bioaccumulation factor (BAF) maximum while as a reference medium compared sludge. Overall, increasing order observed Cd Cr Cu Zn Mn Fe. In edible part (nut) natans, average contents (0.005 ± 0.002 mg/kg), (0.134 0.009 (1.043 0.104 Fe (9.589 0.957 (4.326 0.753 (1.540 0.537 mg/kg) less revealed contaminated irrigation supplies at highest BAF Because concentrations parts did not exceed threshold limits, sources region India should be used safe controlled manner.

Th e pasting behavior of native Water Chestnut Starch – hydrocolloids mixtures was studied. Th e eff ect of Xanthan, Guar, Carboxy Methyl Cellulose and Acacia on Water Chestnut Starch was examined by using micro Viscoamylograph. It was noticed that all hydrocolloids greatly modify the pasting properties of water chestnut starch. Results showed that gelatinization temperature of water chestnut s...
متن کاملUptake and Bioaccumulation of Heavy Metals in Rice Plants as Affect by Water Saving Irrigation
To reveal the impact of Non-Flooding controlled Irrigation (NFI) on the bioavailability and bioaccumulation of metals (Cu, Pb, Cd and Cr) in rice fields, metals concentration in different organs of rice plant growing under both Flooding Irrigation (FI) and NFI were measured. It indicated that metals concentrations in root are always the highest one among all the plant organs and in the spike is...
متن کاملAquatic plant Trapa natans L. as bioindicator of trace metal contamination in a freshwater lake (Skadar Lake, Montenegro)
Skadar Lake is the largest shallow lake in southeastern Europe. It is located within a national park, and is included in the Ramsar List of international important wetlands, so its preservation and protection from pollution is very important. The aim of this study was to investigate bioaccumulation of the ecotoxic metals Cd, Pb and Cr from sediments of Skadar Lake in the aquatic macrophyte Trap...

In situ leaching of uranium ores with sulfuric acid during active uranium mining activity on the Gessenheap has caused longstanding environmental problems of acid mine drainage and elevated concentrations of uranium. To study there remediation measures the test site Gessenwiese, a recultivated former uranium mining heap near Ronnenburg/East Thuringia/Germany, was installed as a part of a resear...
